A four part St. Martin’s Christian Education Series is being offered October 4 through October 25 2023 on Wednesday evenings. Fr. Carefoote is presenting an illustrated lecture series entitled “Christianity & Culture in Toronto”. The four sessions are:

“Strangers in a Strange Land” examines the challenges of church planting in the colonial era - Wednesday, October 11, 2023:
“A Time to Gather Stones Together” considers the major transformation of the city’s urban landscape into the so-called “City of Churches” throughout the nineteenth century - Wednesday, October 18, 2023:
“As You would have done unto You” investigates the role Christianity played in constructing the social safety net in Toronto - Wednesday, October 25, 2023:
“The Old is Gone, the New is Here” explores the ways in which Christianity in the city waxed and waned through the twentieth century as a result of war, economic challenges, and immigration.
We gather over Zoom at 8 p.m. and conclude at 9 p.m. with a short service of Compline. Please contact the church office if you’d like to receive the email with links to join the remaining sessions.
